Bridging the gap between luxury streetwear and sportswear with TWENTYFOURSEVENCLO
Upcoming British Streetwear brand TWENTYFOURSEVENCLO has launched their first collection of the year, a capsule collection inspired by the 70s boxing scene and classic heavyweight warm-up attire.
Initially made up of two garments, the ‘Training Gym Collection’ embodies the spirit of vintage boxing, with both pieces sporting washed finishes, heavyweight fabrics and detailed graphics to the front, both taking twelve hours to draw by hand.
TWENTYFOURSEVENCLO Founder and Director Todd Lindsay said: “I see the Training Gym Collection as a significant step forward for twentyfourseven, it’s something I’d been working on for well over a year and to see it all finally come together and be available to our community is a great feeling.
For the aesthetic of the collection, I’ve taken a lot of inspiration from the 70s and 80s boxing scene, specifically the gyms, what garments the fighters would warm up in and the typography used in the space back then.
Both the heavyweight tee and sweater and designed to be worn in and out of the gym.”
Speaking on the streetwear scene for the remainder of the year, Todd said: “A driving factor of the success of the training gym collection so far I think is down to the gradual merge of streetwear and sportswear. Like myself, a lot of our followers often wear a ‘hybrid style fit’ which may be made up of streetwear essentials and sportswear pieces, which is something I want to focus more on this year.”
